Mega Church Success

"Deep waters are often Calm on the surface, masking the tourmoil beneath" me

How's that for a heading?
Quite interesting when discussing mega churches. I want to create a sense of curiosity. So have I?

I became a Christian in 1980 something, I remember reading a Chick Publications book, you remember them don't you?

This is a copy of the book that brought me to recieve Christ as my savior.
And this is the page that arested my attention. I remember reading the book and in somewhat of a daze, has that ever happened to you, reading but not really "soaking" it in.

Then the graphics stole my complete attention, I began reading more intently. Now as I remember, I had a grandmother who "put up evening prayers " Every evening when the sun went down, and in the morning when she awoke.

I remember her plea to us, her grand children. "Who going th church with me?" I voluntared and we walked a half a mile and was picked up by a member of the church.

Now what does this introduction has to do with Mega Churches?
 Thanks for asking.

I have a strong belief that when a man or woman, in the capacity of a pastor. Speaks the things God wants them to speak, God will add the people to hear that person.

I have heard pastors of reputable churches blast and condemn a well known pastor of one of the largest churches in America.

 "He's that smiling preacher"
 "He's preaching too soft"
"Oh, that's that feel good preaching"

The list of criticism is boundless.

Then there is the feeding frenzy if any unfaithfulness is found in any Pastor of a Mega Church. Fellow believers, Leaders Pastors of smaller churches all join in the Shark like feeding frenzy in ripping apart the failed Pastor.

Now as for my Quote at the beginning of this read out.
This is not to Blast mega Churches nor to point a finger on their issues. But the suggest a thought that this is the kind of environment God wants to create.

In One of Jesus' Parables, he talks of vessels in a Great house. That their are some to honor and some to dishonor.
Notice that the lesson is not to condemn the house for being great. However Jesus focused his attention on the listeners by suggesting that "They" are all in this great house, and that if they would remain focused, and "Purge themselves, that they could alter, change their function, within the great house.

It's easy to sit in judgement of fellow believers, or as a non-believer to bask in the hypocrasy of "Christians" or so called Christians.
A false sense of self righteousness hits the believer who is under the law, and living with their "pet sin"
Aswell for a non-believing individual who says "to much hypocrites are in that big Church"

The chance to affect change in a Mega Church is huge. When a problem is noticed and you, yes you, step forward to lend you labor to be an aid, you will have prepared yourself to be one of those vessels of Honor sanctified and meet(fit) for the master's use.

Whether you are an atheiest or believer, we all have something to look forward for. A crown, to know the truth of why we were placed here, a second chance to come back, 70 virgins, to be given white beautiful wings. What ever your reward might be.
You and only you can prepare yourself to get it.

Thanks for reading.

\\Giving Under One Roof//

Tis the season to be giving, to friends and family- those that are living.
The money we spend on loved dear, is nothing, when compared to the Christmas cheer.
The joy and delight our loved ones bring,
fills our home and heart with the songs that we sing.
Tis the birth of our savior we celebrate with glee,
Which is why all our giving is entirely Free.

The most grateful among the recievers of Cheer,
Is the unexpecting stranger, whom father holds so dear.
So remember as you write your lists of kin.
Hustling to the stores the bargans to win.
Nudging shopers who get in your way, eyeballing some as if to say...
"Moove ahead MAN the time is late, I must get home to prepare a plate."
Out here there's a precious soul the Father has waiting,
To have a chance to join you,in celebrating,
The birth of His Son so tender and mild,
Wrapped up in the package of a little Child.

Merry Christmas

NO Grace Church in Jacksonville Florida !?!?!

Hosea: Said, in: Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

This is Harsh, But Listen beloved, this is not for the Church of Jesus Christ.  If you know a little Bible you know that there is and old and new testament.

If we would take any application or find a warning similar to this that do apply to us in the New Testament it would be

Hebrews 4:9-11

"9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
This also is Harsh, so allow me to explain where I am coming from.
Every born again believer is commanded to add to your faith.... Grab your Bible Please: this would help you find it.  2nd Peter 1-8

The apostle peter said because you are in Christ. Do this Quickly! With All diligence...
Read verse 3 and 4, Notice that you are equip, you have "...all things that pertain unto life and godliness..."

You may wonder how this relate to there being no Grace preaching Church in Jacksonville.
The reason for that is simple. Grace and the Ten Commandments  cannot walk together, They don't agree.

As I close this very short Blogg I leave you with the difference between the two.

Grace: John 1:17    Jesus
The Law: John 1:17  Man

Grace: Acts 20:32 : give us inheritance...
Law: 2 Corinthians 3:7...Ministers Death... is done away

Gal: 3:24. The work of the Law is done. we are now in Christ and Faith.
Grace: Titus 2:11. Grace brings Salvation

Application: We as believers should not teach the Ten Commandments, for it only brings death, doubt and confusion. For anyone keeping one must keep all and Christ is of no effect to you.
 Question and answers
Is the Ten commandments bad?
Question: Couldn't we just use the Ten Commandments as a guideline or reference. NO. Don't acknowledge them.
Christ is the end of the Law. Christ is our Focus. The Ten commandments robs the importance of Christ and causes us to confess sins, apologize for not doing better, confess sins.

Thus making our own righteousness the focus.

Beloved I cannot stress this enough. But I say, Read Romans again and see How much time Paul spends trying to remove the Law, Ten commandments from The New Testament Church.

Believers who are walking by sight considers their lifestyle.
I say: Allow the Knowledge of Christ to change you. Because if you could have changed your lifestyle and be approved by God, then you have no need of Christ righteousness.

I am actually looking for a Church to attend A grace preaching Church and fellowship and encourage fellow believers.

Thanks for reading, As believers, workers, employees etc.
We have been encouraged to better ourselves in our various fields of service.

If it involves, money, that is being paid a bonus or raise or facing downsizing we are more apt to "hop-to-it"

Few in the realm of Christendom are motivated to...

Jude 1:20-21
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

It's easy to depend on the Pastors and Elders of Our congregation(s) to teach us the word of God.Until the time comes when we have a shoe we want to buy, or a place we want to go, we are left wondering "What's God's mind on this?" Or "If i do this am I still in good standing with God?"
Big questions like "Should I play the Lottery?" or "Slots in the neighborhood casino?" How about this one "Should I play Bingo?"
Will I still be right with God?
If I am under grace do these things make me sinful in the eyes of God.
Beloved, The word of God has been used to draw many people in. Then through their lack of knowledge, not faith: because all of our faith is the same measure of faith. Here is "like precious faith with us
2 Peter 1:1-7
"Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity."

Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus...Just to take Him at his Word...

From The Song Leaders Heart

The song tis so sweet to trust in Jesus", is among the few old hymns of the Christian faith, that I would encourage or endorse.

Then many of the new songs coming down the pipe are also misleading, causing doubt to grow along side your faith.

"A man who dares to waste one hour of
time has not discovered the value of life."
Charles Darwin

I was a Song Leader and Choir Director for a little over a decade.  During that time I crooned and howled with the best of them. Singing songs in the hymn books passed on from other churches, you know, the books we taped up, salvaging what we could, then storing the rest behind the pulpit.

Until I heard a lady on the radio say, that you can sing a lie just as easy as you can speak one.

The following Wednesday night Prayer meeting and Bible study I was on the last verse of "On Christ the Solid Rock" After the sing through I thought. "Oh may i then in him be found???" I began to realize that in the midst of our faith doubt is being sown.

"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.
--Buddha "

My friends I know that EVERY HUMAN Being in this world has Faith.
eg: Faith in the form of a hope to see your loved ones after sending them off to school.
Faith to believe that your job will last for another month, year etc.
But only those who believe in Jesus has HOLY Faith.

We have all been given a measure of faith, but only faith in Jesus and his sacrificial death can grant you the POWER to become a son(daughter) of God. This is that "most holy faith"

“A man's greatest joy is crushing his enemies.”

We all use our faith in different ways.

That said. I want to address the ones who have received the record that God gave of himself. The Christians.

The enemy of your soul and the abundant life that God has promised is DOUBT!  not sin...All your sins have been taken away at the cross.

 Permanently

You are the only one who brings them up before God. There is a song called "What Sin."
The only misleading part about this song is the idea that you must be in a continual state of Confession.

The Church was separated from the Roman Catholic since the late 16th century. Tragically the reformers brought with them too much baggage. The daily confessing of Sins.

“The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn”
 Ralph Waldo Emerson

Finally before I loose you entirely.

"Don't fear knowledge that makes you think."
  kirkwood Young

This Blog is a seed of faith I am planting.

Ways to Build on My Most Holy Faith

  1.  Confess Gods Righteous and NOT your sins. eg: confess"I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am seated together in Christ in heavenly places, and from this position I BOLDLY come before the throne of grace..."
  2. Sing only songs of truth based on the Grace of God, not on the misunderstanding of the song writer. eg: "Any song that asks you to demonstrate your love for God is a trap" Any song that says "I'm desperate for you..." You already have the Entire Godhead living in you and you are complete in Jesus.
  3. Pray based on Gods promises, Not on the traditional prayers before you. eg: At the end of a church service do not pray this."Father go with us as we leave this place..." WRONG "He has said I will NEVER leave you"
  4. Daily put away negative words from your conversation. "well, you know what they say...bad news comes in threes," or " I'm afraid...." or " I'm dying for a..."
  5. Stop belittling yourself as a pretext for humility False humility. eg: I'm so dumb, stoopid, lazy, or for the girls, I'm a dog, i am a tramp, whore, ho, b'atch"
You are a child of the living God. By applying some of these things you will add to your faith Virtue.
